Why a Mentor?

The word mentor is derived from Homer's Odyssey.  When Odysseus left for his journey, he asked the character Mentor to watch over and guide his son Telemachus.  In the novel, Athena eventually takes on the appearance of Mentor to guide Telemachus when he was faced with difficult times.  We all need guidance in our careers.  Mission to Mentor  is here to facilitate in the growth and professional development of your Pre-K through 8th grade educational organization.
